Large wooden octant of HADLEY type, with 2 inputs with sighting pinnules and 1 set of 2 movable filters, without handle for holding the instrument which will come later.
Literature : John Hadley (1682-1744) was the inventor of this type of octant with wooden limbs with "transverse" divisions.
