Celestial globe by HABRECHT and WEIGL designed in Nuremberg in 1675.
Globe composed of 12 hand-painted spindles extended to the celestial poles.
The constellations are written in Latin and calculated for the year 1675.
Presence of the time scale at the upper level of the globe and the two cartouches.
First cartouche : “Globus Caelestis Ommes Stellas fixas à No bilisso Tychone Brahe, alysq diligentisse observata accuratiss exhibetis Australes insuper Petri15codori Archinautre celeberrimi astentans Nes…on Stellas quasdam novas & Come…um aliquot traiccliones adumbrans Vi…us adannum 1675 accomodatis Studio et opera Isacci Habrecht Phil et Mec Fecit”.
Second cartouche : “Sculpted and impressed Jacobi ab Haydé Joh Christoph Weigel exc. Noriberg”.
On its original wooden quadripod base.
Manufacturers : Habrecht and Weigl in Nuremberg (Germany).
Condition : good with nice colors.
Dimensions : height of +/- 31 cm x diameters of +/- 18 cm (globe) and +/- 30 cm (equatorial table).
Nuremberg dated 1675.
