Prisoners of war work (POW) made between 1790 and 1815.

A set of two models of miniature boat in wood with various decorative paper and glass pastilles and balls and presented under its glass globe.

This so-called “maquette de ponton” has been made by a Frenchman who was a prisoner in England during the Napoleonic Wars.

Provenance : Breton family from the Saint Malo area.

Note : to our knowledge, this original presentation is not to be found in any museum in France or abroad.

Dimensions : length of 25 cm x width of 17 cm x height 53 cm.

England circa 1790 /1815.
